What's new

  • Literacy Night at Speakeasy: Join fellow attendees for a night of fun at this club with something for everyone, from live music to a vintage gaming loft to a rooftop terrace overlooking Austin.
  • The Core Conference is now on Saturday, July 21, and Sunday, July 22. If you'd like to take advantage of Institute Day on Friday, July 20, and Children's Literature Day on Monday, July 23, in addition to the Core Conference, select the Conference Complete package during registration.
  • On Monday, July 23, we'll host our first-ever Children's Literature Day at ILA 2018! This day of dedicated programming will include four levels of Author Meetups and Putting Books to Work workshops (Early Reader, Middle Grade, Early Young Adult, and Older Young Adult) as well as many more sessions and events centered on children's literature. Space is limited; register early to reserve your spot!
  • At ILA 2018, the Exhibit Hall will be open for a special preview on Friday, July 20, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This offers you the chance to check out innovative new products and services outside of the Core Conference (Saturday and Sunday). Take advantage of this opportunity right after you attend Institute Day or pick up your registration materials.

  • The theme of ILA 2018 is Be a Changemaker—someone who desires and strives for change in literacy education.
