OCTOBER 3–29, 2020

ILA Next

Screen fatigue is real. That's why the ILA Next program is spread out, with live sessions, workshops, and learning labs offered just three days a week, each running 90 minutes or less. Unlike in-person conferences shoehorned in an online platform, the digital-by-design ILA Next minimizes disruptions to educators' day-to-day responsibilities—no sunup-to-sundown schedules here!

  • Main Stage Sessions. These Saturday sessions are open to all ILA Next participants. Attend one live each Saturday; access the other three on-demand—13 sessions in total!
  • Pathway Workshops. When you register for ILA Next, you'll be asked to pick one of four learning pathways organized by age of learner. Your selection determines your Pathway Workshop series. These 90-minute workshops take place on Tuesdays, with knowledge building week to week.
  • Office Hours. Join select speakers from the Pathway Workshop series and your fellow attendees each Thursday for a small-group, interactive discussion of what you're learning in the series.
  • Learning Labs. Our virtual Exhibitor Showcase boasts 24/7 access and one hour of dedicated interactivity each week. Another draw? Weekly Learning Labs—14 in all—offer yet another layer of PD, delivered by a mix of new and established educators and children's literature authors.

For a complete listing of all live and on-demand programming, see the Schedule at a Glance.

Included in your ILA Next registration is a letter of attendance for your participation. A letter of attendance can be requested by emailing customerservice@reading.org after October 29, 2020. Due to the varying requirements of each employer and state, ILA cannot guarantee acceptance of clock hours; please check with your school district or administration to determine if the clock hours are applicable.
