Join Wiley Blevins, author of From Phonics to Reading for grades K–3, to learn about some of the common stumbling blocks regarding phonics instruction in a leveled book classroom, as well as why and how to incorporate decodable texts for phonics practice. The 90-minute event features an extended Q&A with Blevins, as well as post-event access to lesson planning tools, sample observation forms, and other reproducible resources.
You’ll walk away with ideas for what to do with the existing books in your classroom—and how adding decodables can help develop stronger early reading behaviors, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing skills.
