Join us on June 21–22, 2019, in Las Vegas, NV, for a two-day event that is specifically designed to help practitioners and professionals like you recognize and address biases in literacy instruction and create classroom and school environments that are diverse, inclusive, affirming, and culturally sensitive.

Discover research and strategies that will transform your practice to acknowledge and address disparities among your students. Follow one of three role-based tracks (early literacy educators, administrators, or classroom teachers) as you learn from inspiring experts and explore research centered around effectively supporting all students as they develop literacy skills.

How do I present at this event?

We are currently accepting session abstracts through January 6. Please review the submission guidelines for instructions on submitting your abstract. Note that due to the small size of the program and the interactive format of this event, the selection process will be highly competitive.

When can I register?

Registration will open in January and will be $225 for current ILA members and $275 for nonmembers.

Where will this event be held, and how can I make a hotel reservation?

This ILA Intensive will be held at Somerset Academy (Sky Pointe Campus, 7038 Sky Pointe Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89131). Hotel information will be available when registration opens.
