Outstanding Article Award:
Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy   |   Est. 2026

The International Literacy Association (ILA) Outstanding Article Award: Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy honors an outstanding article published in Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy that contributes innovative insights into literacy education for learners ages 12 and up. The honored work should highlight forward-thinking research, evidence-based strategies, and/or impactful practices that address the unique challenges and opportunities of fostering literacy among adolescents and adults, including diverse populations and varied educational contexts. The article should demonstrate a clear connection to real-world applications, promoting lifelong learning and critical literacy skills.

This award will not be offered in 2027.
