Outstanding Article Award:

The International Literacy Association (ILA) Outstanding Article Award: Reading Research Quarterly honors an outstanding article published in Reading Research Quarterly that demonstrates exceptional scholarly contribution to the field of literacy. The recognized study should exemplify academic rigor, originality, and innovation, addressing critical issues or advancing theoretical understanding in literacy research. It should offer meaningful implications for educators, policymakers, or researchers, fostering a deeper understanding of literacy development, instruction, or policy across diverse contexts and populations.

This award will not be offered in 2027.
