Cyborg Anthropology - An Interdisciplinary Unit for Grades 11-12

What's Inside

Cyborg Anthropology takes students into the hallways of their own school to study contemporary culture using the tools of an anthropologist to conduct ethnographies. As anthropologists, students conduct interviews and fieldwork among their peers to document the interactions of humans with emerging technologies. Through multimodal literacy resources and authentic tasks, students explore such issues as what it means to be human and how humans live, think, and communicate in a technology driven society.
