Call for Editors: Reading Research Quarterly
Reading Research Quarterly (RRQ) is the premier international, peer-reviewed research journal. It publishes the highest quality research on reading and literacy for and by scholars around the world and fosters connections among researchers to build a coherent knowledge base in reading and literacy across geographic and intellectual borders.
Through September 2, 2025, the International Literacy Association (ILA) is accepting applications for editorship of RRQ.
About the editorship
We are seeking forward-thinking scholars who are committed to the advancement of sound literacy research. Applicants have the option of applying as teams of up to 10 people; for teams of three or more individuals, one person must be identified as the senior editor with final decisional authority.
Editors serve for a term of four years, the first of which overlaps with the current editors’ term. The subsequent three years align with the volume years under their term.

Qualified applicants should be ILA members and leading researchers in the field of literacy education, who demonstrate a commitment to translating sound research to practice and have an extensive publishing record.
