Whether you have a classroom teaching tip to share or the results of a research study to present, ILA has a publication venue to meet your needs. For more information on how to become an ILA author, please read the instructions provided for each publication. We look forward to receiving your manuscript.
ILA journals are peer reviewed, edited by leaders in the field, and produced by a professional publishing staff. Authors receive careful evaluation of their work and detailed advice regarding how it can best be presented. Our journals reach tens of thousands of literacy educators worldwide, so you can be guaranteed a wide audience for your work. Each journal has particular requirements; see the individual links below for more information.
ILA's bimonthly member magazine, Literacy Today accept submissions of articles from 500 to 1,000 words that reflect current trends in literacy instruction and provide easy-to-implement tips for today's educators. We encourage you e-mail email@example.com with article submissions, suggestions, and pitches, but please keep in mind the following: These submissions are not peer reviewed and using references in the style of journals is discouraged. Bylines, bios, and photos are required. Click here to learn more.
ILA's blog, Literacy Daily, publishes articles on Member & Events News, Literacy Research, Digital Literacies, The Engaging Classroom, and Children's & YA Literature. We're always looking for inspiring stories told by the people involved at the ground level. Pitch us your story by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
