Call for Editors: Journal of Adolescent & Adult Literacy

The Journal of Adolescent & Adult Literacy (JAAL) provides a global forum of peer-reviewed research and praxis that explores adolescent and adult literacies through diverse research designs and methodologies, theoretical lenses, and contexts.

From November 6, 2023, through January 22, 2024, the International Literacy Association (ILA) is accepting applications for editorship of JAAL.

About the editorship

ILA is seeking forward-thinking scholars who are committed to the advancement of sound literacy research and its application to literacy instruction. Applicants have the option of applying as teams of up to 10 people; for teams of three or more individuals, one person must be identified as the senior editor with final decisional authority.

Editors serve for a term of five years, the first of which overlaps with the current editors’ term. The subsequent four years are spent providing material for four volume years: 69–72.
