The Center on Education Policy (CEP) released its 10th annual report on state high school testing policies. State High School Tests: Changes in State Policies and the Impact of the College and Career Readiness Movement finds that fewer states are requiring students to pass an exit exam to receive a high school diploma than last year, yet assessments that measure a student’s readiness for college and/or a career are gaining in popularity. The CEP website has the report and profiles for states with high school exit exam policies, college entrance exams (such as the ACT or SAT), and/or college and career readiness assessments.
